    Near No-No

In game 3 of week 13 with Elite at Cedar Rapids, Elite's Guthrie had a perfect game until RF, Berkman, muffed a flyball to the lead-off batter in the bottom of the 7th. The no-hitter remained in tact, but Guthrie was lifted after 8 inn's. Donnelly relieved, followed by Bradford.  With 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th, Jeter stroked a single and Casey drove him home with a double. That brought the tying run to the plate in Cody Ross, who grounded out to end the threat and the game. Elite won 3-1.

Also interesting ws that through 8 innings, Guthrie had faced 25 batters, so he should have had enough gas in the tank to go for the complete game no-no.  Second time this season that the robot pulled a starter for me that had a no-hitter going with sufficient BFA left to keep going!

With an 8 recovery, a 4 man rotation would require him to be pulled with 6 BFA left which is where he would have been if he started at 31 batters.  Any chance you had a 4 man rotation?

Actually, Elite was on the road and I was the home team and they had a 5 man rotation.
