GAME 2: Cedar Rapids won 8-2. Sheffield was 3-4 with a homer and 3 RBIs. GAME 3: Cedar Rapids won 10-9. Zaun homered twice and knocked in 4. The game was topsy-turvy as Cedar Rapids jumped on Big Z for 4 runs in the 1st. inn. when Zaun launched a 3 run shot. Then Boston tallied 7 runs in the top of the 2nd. as they knock out DiNardo. After Cedar Rapids used 4 relievers, Neshek entered to pitch the 9th. with Cedar Rapids leading 10-9. Boston got runners on 1B & 3B with 1 out. Ichiro fanned and Vernon Wells came to the plate, but Neshek ended it by picking off Schneider at 1B. It was Neshek's 25th. save (2.31). GAME 4: Boston won 6-4. Miguel Cabrera gave Boston a 3-0 lead with a 3 run homer in the top of the 6th. Cedar Rapids got 3 runs of their own in the bottom of the frame. With 2 outs in the top of the 9th. and the game tied 4-4, runners were on 2B & 3B. Ichiro singled both of them across the plate, allowing Papelbon to notch save #26. GAME 5: Boston won the rubber game 5-3. Carlos Pena had a 2 run homer. Woody Williams allowed 3 hits in 5 inn's. and is 2-3 (7.82). Papelbon saved #27 (1.88).
