Peavy allowed 3 hits in 5 inn's. to elevate his record to 11-1 (1.87). Mt. Holly's, Renteria, was injured and lost for 4 games. GAME 4: Asimov won 6-0. Uribe hit a 3 run homer as they jumped on Maholm for 6 runs in the 1st. inn. El Duque threw a CG 5 hitter. GAME 5: Asimov won 7-6. Kubel had a double and 3 RBIs. Asimov's Arroyo took a 7-0 lead into the 7th. inn, but Mt. Holly exploded for 6 runs in the inn, but fell just short in their come back attempt.
2) MEKNES at BALTIMORE: GAME 1: Meknes won 6-0. Ludwick & Eric Chavez both were 2-4 with a homer and 2 RBIs. Kuo & Rogers combined on a 3 hitter. GAME 2: Meknes won 3-1. Kotchman had 2 doubles and an RBI. Baltimore's Escobar tossed a CG 5 hitter, but Jose Reyes, Kotchman & Ludwick had consecutive RBI hits in the top of the 8th. to cook Escobar's goose. GAME 3: Meknes won 4-1. Duchscherer pitched 4 inn's. of 2 hit relief for the win. GAME 4: Baltomore won 3-2 in 11 inn's. Yadier Molina only had 1 hit in the game, but his 2 out RBI single sent the Sultans home happy. Darren Oliver pitched 4 1/3 inn's. of 2 hit relief to record his 1st. win. Baltimore's SP, Beckett, was injured for 9 games. GAME 5: Meknes won 9-6. Ludwick was 2-5 with 4 RBIs. Reyes rapped out 4 singles and drove in a run.
