    Post your rare plays here...

After Lima had two singles to put men on first and second with no one out, Cooperstown turned a triple play. No hit and run called, just a standard play...

    the curve
and it's lined up the middle but there's Jeter to nab the drive!
he steps on second to get Guerrero and slings it to first to get Upton trying to get back
he fell down and is out easily
that folks is the end of the inning
    they turned a triple play!

    End of inning 5 ..
    Leatherstockings coming to bat

Wow, first triple play I've seen in PB!

he tags second to force Ramos and fires over to first and just nabs Ramirez trying to get back!

    that's the inning!
    Castillo turned a triple play!

    End of inning 7 ..
    Giants coming to bat

Re: Post your rare plays here...

This occured in my APBA league last night.

R Martin facing J Bonderman, top of the second, no outs, bases loaded, behind 0-4:
"And Bonderman drops the ball! It's a balk! The ump is bringing Pena home, Rosales moves to third, Francoeur is taking second."
"Fritz is out of the stands and the umpire is taking some heat. Roswell and Kenneth are off the bench. Jeff, Sam, and Ileana are waving their arms. Phenoms Colby, Allen, Greg, Corlise, and Bill are running over. Everyone's hopping mad but the call stands and the fans leave the field."

high fly to short left center...
    Nava is there and waiting...
    here comes Werth!
he didn't here the call and barrels right into Nava
Werth makes the catch but Nava is down!
    what a crash!
he'll go out of the game...
Werth must not have heard him call him off!
    he's out of the game

    End of inning 8 ..

    breaking ball

and it's by Jaso and skids to the backstop

Holliday rounds third and heads towards home as the ball takes a funny bounce towards the thirdbase coaching box

Headley hustles in for it and makes a desperate toss to Contreras

head first slide and the tag and he's OUT!

Wow, that was some play by Headley to get him.

Re: Post your rare plays here...

    Saunders delivers
and it's bounced to the right of the box
Saunders gloves it in full stride and races to first
Swisher is going to be out pitcher unassisted
    that doesn't happen every day

Re: Post your rare plays here...

First steal of home in my experience...

     Burlington at Lima in D5...

" Street looks in for the sign and now delivers
    low...
    and Rios is stealing!
    Kendall throws to second...
    SAFE!
    delayed steal of home!
    Uggla fires home
    Kendall grabs the throw
    the tag...
    SAFE!"

Cameron Maybin had stolen 2nd in the inning, earlier, and he was the runner who stole home!

That put Lima up 3-1 late, and they held on for the win.

Runners on 1st and 2nd...hit and run play called...

"they've got the hit and run play on!
    and both runners are going!
Flowers fires to second but it will be high and over everyone's head!
Infante will score and Martinez is on at third
E-2 and both runners get stolen bases on the play"

Re: Post your rare plays here...

    "the pitch
the runner is on the move
Ellsbury goes shopping at the GAP!
    long line drive...
    but Smith gets there
    Hudson was on the move
and now will have to retrace his steps...
    no way he'll make it!
Smith's throw to Barton doubles him off!"

S.Smith the RF made the catch and doubled off the runner.

Hendrickson in the stretch and the offering
hit towards right and speared by LaRoche!
he runs to the bag and...
    slides to beat Infante back
    double play!

Catcher with No MLB Steals or Attempts............

Bottom of the 12th, C- Tyler Flowers steals 2nd (vs C-Buster Posey 7.0 Throwing Arm, Slowey Pitching 6 SB, 4 CS), then on next pitch steals third.....then with infield in (Speed Rating 3) scores on a groundball to First Base to end up scoring the winning run.  Flowers steals 2 bases in one inning --- did not make an attempt all MLB year.  Amazing what the PB Robot can do !

Re: Post your rare plays here...

the pitch chopped in front of the plate Paulino snares it and steps on home for one... on to first for the double play! you won't see that one very often...

Re: Catcher with No MLB Steals or Attempts............

This is a flaw I've brought up a few times this year and in this case an especially egregious one.
